Insurance and More
Appointment Availability
The earliest I can start seeing new clients is February 2023, and I have already started scheduling for February. If you would like to be on the waitlist, please send me an email with “waitlist” as the subject title. Please let me know what insurance you plan to use, and how flexible your schedule is in terms of accommodating appointments. Thank you!
Insurance
At present, I am able to accept the following insurance plans:
United Health Care (UHC)
CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield
Cigna
Optum
Aetna Choice POS II Plan (This plan is paid by Optum)
Out-of-Network Provider
I am also an out-of-network provider for other insurance companies. What this means is that while insurance is not accepted directly, I am able to provide you with the documentation (known as a superbill) necessary to receive reimbursement from your insurance company. Should you decide to submit for reimbursement, your insurance company will process your claim and reimburse you directly.
The best way to learn how much you will be reimbursed is to contact your insurance provider directly. I recommend calling prior to the start of therapy to determine your specific out-of-network benefits. This is especially important as reimbursement rates vary depending on the specific plan.
To assist you in your call, here are some questions you can ask:
–Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental/behavioral health?
–If so, what percentage of these sessions do you cover?
–What is the deductible and how much of the deductible have I met?
Payment
I accept all major credit cards as forms of payment. Payments are done through a client portal. One-time payments can be made through ‘Make a Payment’ page on this website.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged the late cancellation fee.
Need more info?
Once you have scheduled an appointment, you will be invited to the client portal where you will be able to submit all required forms. The required paperwork includes a demographic and clinical history form, consent to treatment, and a notice of privacy practices. Please contact me if you need more information.
